Pebbles Fine Wine Events was started up by London wine aficionado David Wainwright,
after hosting a very successful Pebbles fundraising dinner in June 2009 that featured every vintage of Yarra Yering’s iconic Dry Red No.1, hosted by then winemaker, Mark Haisma.
The format and concept for that dinner worked so well David decided to make it a formal program. The idea of these events is to feature some of the world’s greatest wines matched to some of Europe’s finest cuisine. Whilst tastings can be educational, when it comes to fine and rare wines, they were meant to be consumed at dinner. Every event will be at the 2 Michelin Star Ledbury Restaurant, in London’s Notting Hill or at the 2 Michelin Star, The Square in Mayfair.
Where possible winemakers or owners will host these events.
In 2010 The Pebbles Fine Wine Events Program hopes to raise over £30,000. Your attendance at these events will go a very long way to helping some incredibly poor and sick children.
